The product meets the quality requirements according to DIN EN 14214.It is produced in refining process called esterification, during which is methanol mixed with sodium hydroxide and afterwards with oil pressed out from rape seeds. The by-product is glycerin phase, which is subsequently processed in production of bio-glycerin.
FAME is used as a component (31%) of petroleum diesel or directly as a fuel for diesel engines based on non-saturated fatty acid methylesters of vegetable origin.
